2023 Architectural Graduate Fulltime Position – Accepting Resumes And Portfolios

All Summer 2023 Intern Positions Have Been Filled    

arcDESIGN is an energetic architectural + interiors firm located in downtown Indianapolis that provides an open studio learning environment. We are currently looking to fill two Architectural Graduate / Designer positions. This person will be responsible for assisting with design, construction document production, and construction administration. Candidate must be a self-starter and able to handle multiple projects and tasks. Prior experience and/or strong interest in Healthcare design or Higher Ed projects is beneficial.

Required Skills Include:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s or Professional Degree in Architecture.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience interning or working in a professional architectural setting.
  • Design Software: Revit experience is required. Working knowledge in Enscape, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and other 3D software are beneficial.
  • Strong graphic design abilities.
  • Able to work both as part of a team and independently.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Project Leader, Project Architect and Interior Designer to understand the goals for the team and the project. Work within the framework established to support the delivery of Architecture and Interiors as required to achieve the client’s goals for the project.
  • Support the Team Leadership in their efforts to “engage architecture at its highest level.”
  • Engage in Quality Assurance/Quality Control.

This person(s) will be responsible for assisting with design, construction document production, and construction administration. Candidate must be a self-starter and able to handle multiple projects and tasks.

Required Skills Include:

  • Design Software: Basic knowledge in Revit, Enscape, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and other 3D software is beneficial.
  • Strong graphic design and/or photography abilities is a plus.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge about sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Project Leader, Project Architect and Interior Designer to understand the goals for the team and the project.
  • Execute basic architectural and interior design assignments by receiving specific and detailed instruction.
  • Prepares and modifies architectural documents, elevations, sections and details as directed by others using Revit.
  • Develops design solutions following established standards and guidelines.
  • Prepares 2D and 3D presentation materials.

Opportunities Include:

  • Train on REVIT/BIM, and get hands-on experience.
  • Design with 3D printing.
  • Work on real projects, as a valued part of the team.
  • Tour job sites.
  • Attend client meetings.
  • Engage in mentorship program (aDvisor).
  • Earn NCIDQ, IDCEC, NCARB and school program credits.
  • Learn from experts at weekly AIA and IDCEC approved Lunch-and-Learns.

Required Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s degree program for architecture, interior design or related program.
  • Previous internship with an architectural or interior design firm or related firm is a plus.
