Greenwood, Indiana Patients entering the gleaming new $35 million, 87,000 sf MOB complex will step into a modern healthcare facility that features beautiful natural light and bright, bold colors. A dramatic 3-story open central stairwell encased by windows provides an unobstructed view of the Stones Crossing area. The stairwell features custom terrazzo flooring, pendant lighting, and aluminum framing. Within, paintings and photographs are covering the walls and reinforce wellness with soothing images. Artwork includes framed art, prints on acrylic, canvas, metal, wood, framed mirrors, and dimensional wall sculptures. Whimsical animal artwork populates the pediatric clinic, and each children’s exam room is themed differently, from dinosaurs to fire trucks to trains. Custom large format wayfinding was introduced to designate areas. Custom glass and glass film patterns were used throughout the space. This space is designed with wellness in mind and adheres to the Franciscan Brand. One of the more unique offerings in the Stones Crossing facility is a medical spa located on the third floor. Patients will be able to receive services such as massage therapy, aromatherapy, body sculpting and hydra-facial treatment, in addition to plastic surgery. A medical spa will provide a more holistic approach to health care, with massage therapy and hydra-facial services. The medical spa features custom made walnut paneling to add dimension and texture to the desk and was juxtaposed with a custom quartz transaction. Within the spa entrance circular lighting fixtures and a wood-look metal ceiling help to set the inviting tone. Overall, the layout of the building was extremely important to provide for greater flow in checking patients in, getting them treated and then back out the door. Kiosks were installed to allow for everything from quick check-in to bill paying to greater ease the flow of patients. The treatment areas were also designed to enhance patient flow and create efficiencies. Examination rooms are broken up into pods, allowing attending physicians and nurses to more quickly and easily provide treatment. Spacious exam rooms also allow for family members to sit in on consultations with the doctors. A bright and vibrant rehab center with state-of-the-art equipment provides an opportunity for comprehensive physical and occupational therapy.
