PRINCIPLES AND DESIGN
Andy Hine, AIA
Andy’s love of old muscle cars has prompted him to restore a 1968 Cougar GT-E, 427 and a 1970 Hugger Orange Chevy Pick-up Truck.
Andy knew he wanted to be an architect after seeing a careers pamphlet in the school library in fifth grade. From then on, he never considered another profession. In 1999, Andy made the decision to start his own firm because he wanted to be in control of his own career path and to test a different model for “marketing” success. As the founding principal, Andy believes principals can and should be constantly and directly involved in the design process. This leadership model leads to repeat clients and less reliance on short-term marketing, which creates a strong reputation.
