Schneck Medical Center, like many hospital campuses, was a conglomerate of buildings and styles, had an old main entrance on the front and a new main entrance on the back, displayed an outdated public façade and left patients walking through sprawling parking lots to get to the front door. Though, it is a top-rated health center with national recognition and deep roots in its small community, its outward appearance didn’t reflect it. The opportunity to expand the campus with a new Medical Office Building offered many possibilities and challenges with the leadership’s goals to connect the MOB to the hospital, make the  outpatient clinics easily accessible to patients, and reinforce the Schneck brand to the community.
