arcDESIGN completed the addition and renovation of Rose-Hulman’s Student Recreation Center in August 2025. The project included a comprehensive renovation of existing staff offices and the construction of a new two-story, field-side addition. The expanded facility now features a dedicated student recruiting and hosting area, a large meeting space, guest locker rooms, athletic storage, and additional office space. New interior glazing, modern branded finishes, and updated furnishings create a professional, energetic environment that supports both student-athletes and staff.
The design seamlessly integrates the addition with the existing building through the thoughtful extension of exterior materials and architectural features. Program elements include seven coaching offices, a recruiting room, conference space for approximately 40 people, a multipurpose fitness room, a flexible 50-person locker room, extensive sports equipment storage, and the mechanical spaces required to support the facility.
