Rise on Meridian, a new $58 million multifamily housing complex, is located on Indianapolis’ southside. This development is part of the revitalization of “Old Southside”.
arcDESIGN focused on developing and planning the core amenity spaces for the residential complex. The goal was to create flexible spaces that serve as a “third space” for residents, fostering a sense of community, comfort, and modern sophistication and would appeal to the target audience young professionals.
The design solution draws inspiration from and complements the building’s exterior, described as sleek, urban, modern minimalist with dark accents. The interiors team prioritized an inviting and casual atmosphere while avoiding overly trendy styles. The intent was well-designed and functional amenity spaces catering to residents and creating a hub for community engagement.
Core amenities included the creation of a central spacious community lounge area with kitchen, quieter co-working spaces, a separate media lounge, pool table, and a neighborhood room. Additional spaces included: leasing and management offices, mail room, and a pet spa. To promote active lifestyles, a fully equipped fitness center with a separate group exercise room and convenient indoor bike storage was included. Additionally, a second-floor aqua lounge, and outdoor lounge with fire tables located adjacent to the pool, offers relaxing and social space.
